Side effects of detoxing while pregnant?
No, I’m not asking for myself….My friend’s son and girlfriend are pregnant (young) and she has recently heard that the girlfriend is doing drugs and smoking! She bought a home drug test I think the gf has found out. She is dumb enough to try and detox her system to avoid failing the test. I was wondering if anyone knew the side effects this could have on the baby (she is 17weeks)
By detox, i mean flushing the system. I know there are several drinks you can use to flush your system that are supposedly supposed to help you deliver negative results on a drug test….
Well it depends on what you mean by “Detox” it sounds like everything she is doing could harm her baby, so a detox probably wouldn’t do much more than the drugs, though depending on what she is using (like herbs or whatever) it could cause her to have a miscarriage. If by detox you mean just staying off of drugs and smoking, then she’ll have nasty side effects for her but it will be good for her baby.
