Mariah Carey Uses Humidifiers to Create Rainforest Bedroom
Mariah Carey is well known all around the world, and not just for her singing. The award winning singer is recognised all around the world for her over the top demands. Her most recent request included 20 white kittens and 100 white doves so accompany her while she turned on the Christmas lights at Westfield Shopping Centre.
Suprisingly enough, Westfield Shopping Centre went along with the 100 doves, however, they did refuse the kittens as no pets are allowed within the centre. These 2 demands weren’t the only things she wanted. She also wanted a pink carpet (not red), 80 security guards, a Rolls Royce to drive her round the centre and finally a wand to ‘wave’ the lights on. All of which were given to her!
These demands from her are nothing new, the singer even has high demands at home. She insists on having rainforest like humidity levels in her bedroom. She achieves this by using 20 humidifiers that surround her bed and creates the high humidity atmosphere for her to sleep in. The reason why she does this is because it maintains her vocal cords, one of the many health benefits of humidifiers. I do wonder whether she uses a ceiling fan to cool down the bedroom in the morning.
Many people would think of her demands as high and expensive, however, she’s not the only one with high demands. There are many other music artists that have high demands. Guns N’ Roses are just one that request a variety of adult magazines. Cher is another one, she demands that she has two dressing rooms, one simply for her wigs. The last one, and possibly the biggest competitor for Mariah is Iggy Pop, he gives his host 18 pages worth of detailed and lengthy requests. Some of which include no toy robots and plastic seahorses.
Although all the singers listed above are demanding, none are known to use humidifiers, like Mariah, despite their health benefits. I’m slightly surprised as none of them are known to use air purifiers as these also have a number of health benefits. Particularly when you consider that a singer uses their lungs a great deal, a air purifier can be useful for cleaning impurities out of the air.
