what type of longitudinal study can examine the types of interventions and resources to prevent child abuse?
what type of longitudinal design/study can i conduct to examine the what interventions and resources are available to prevent child abuse rather than using a cross- sectional design
Are you looking at what interventions are available or what interventions are most effective. Only the latter makes sense to me. I would think in this situation you’d find a sample of people who are considered more at risk for committing child abuse (who have children) – maybe people who were abused themselves, or people with certain beliefs? I’m not sure I haven’t done the research. Then you would follow them through their child’s life and find out how many were child abusers. Of course this whole study seems a little far-fetched. I doubt there is a way you could realistically do a longitudinal study for this because child abuse is not something people just admit to, or something that is extremely common. Is this for a class?
